One public source URL per line, up to 20. All sources will be monitored against the selected destination. Duplicate source/destination pairs are skipped.
Select individual rows, all filtered rows, or use Shift to select a range. CSV exports selected rows; with no selection it exports all saved links for this site.
Create a separate key with monitor:read and monitor:write. It stays on your server, encrypted using configuration keys outside the database. Changing configuration keys or the home URL requires reconnecting.
The key permits account-wide monitoring. This view filters destinations to this site; the key itself is not restricted to this website. The 50-pair limit is shared across your account.
The account checks healthy links daily and retries problems hourly. WordPress refreshes saved results hourly when site traffic triggers WP-Cron. Manual refresh reads results; it does not force a new HTML check.
Previously saved observations remain visible with their original dates. The last sync time is not a new link-check time.
Open monitoring ↗To update, back up your site and upload the new ZIP, replacing the installed connector. Deactivation preserves local settings; reactivation resumes refreshes. Uninstall removes local credentials and cache, while remote monitors remain.
50 saved pairs per account. 100 requested checks per day, including additions and changed expectations. Manual checks have a five-minute cooldown.
Download the ZIP below. In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, select the archive and activate it. This is a direct download, not a WordPress.org directory listing.
Create an account API key with only monitor:read and monitor:write. Open Tools → Backlink monitor in WordPress, paste the key, review the data-sharing statement and connect.
Select a published page and paste its known referring URLs. Save them, refresh results and inspect their check history. Use pause/resume or a requested check for selected rows.
02 / Worked example
Example: choose a published buying guide and add two pages that already link to it. The plugin registers two source/destination pairs. After the account worker runs, inspect each source status, destination HTTP code, observed anchor and rel. A missing HTML link is an observation to review, not proof of a ranking loss.
03 / How to read the results
Single-site WordPress and OpenSSL are required. Monitoring uses your account and its quotas. Only public URLs on ports 80/443 are checked. This plugin provides no web-wide backlink index, automatic link placement or ranking guarantee.
Only the home page and published, non-password-protected posts/pages can be selected. This plugin does not publish, insert or discover backlinks.
