Overview

A clinic can seek references to pages that help people find accurate service information. Before considering a source website, verify that the destination is usable, current and reviewed by an appropriate person. This is an editorial workflow, not clinical advice or a promise of improved search ranking.

Page-readiness record

Identify the intended reader and task, page owner, last verification date, authoritative sources and the qualified reviewer for any medical claims. Confirm contact and appointment instructions directly with the clinic. Record the next review date and what should trigger an earlier review, such as a change to a service or contact method. Unknown reviewer credentials and unverified claims should remain unresolved, not filled with invented details.

A fictional example

A clinic prepares a page explaining how visitors can request accessibility information before an appointment. An operations owner confirms the contact route and the page's availability; a qualified reviewer assesses any health-related statements. The team checks the page on mobile and records the review date. A community resource page might refer visitors to it, but no organization, relationship or publication is implied by this fictional example.

Evaluate a possible reference

For each candidate source, record its audience, the specific page and why the clinic page helps that audience. Confirm destination accuracy, any compensation or conditions, and who can update the reference. Do not request misleading endorsements or use fabricated patient stories. Separate a source's claim of reach from observed referral data and do not treat a link as evidence of clinical quality.

Maintain the record

If the clinic changes a service, accessibility arrangement or contact route, update the destination and review known references. Save source URL, observation date and any correction request; a request is not proof of completion. Google emphasizes trust for content affecting health and safety, but no single credential, link or checklist guarantees a ranking. Consult qualified professionals on the accuracy and appropriateness of actual medical content.
