Define the unit before comparing prices
One quote may cover a link for one month; another may cover an article publication; a third may charge for research or outreach without promising publication. Dividing all three by the headline link count creates a comparison between different services.
Write down the unit beside every price. Include how many publishers or pages are involved, the term, the renewal mechanism and any content work. Ask which parts of the quoted work remain chargeable if publication does not happen.
Build a budget from your actual selection
In StarBacklink, credit packages fund orders. Current package pricing is one US dollar per credit. Review the publisher-specific credit price, chosen duration and total at order review; the catalog can change. Payment availability and instructions are shown in the purchase flow.
| Selection | Assumption | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| 8 placements | 1 credit each per month for 3 months | 24 |
| 2 additional placements | 1 credit each per month for 1 month | 2 |
| Total | Only the placements described above | 26 |
At the current package conversion, those 26 credits represent US$26 of credit value. This example excludes sponsored articles and any separately agreed work. It is a planning illustration, not a guarantee of current stock or eligibility.
Keep article publishing separate
A sponsored article and a recurring link placement are different products. For an article, clarify the publisher, content requirements, included links, publication scope and evidence returned. Do not multiply an article price by months unless its own terms actually use that model.
Use the sponsored-post service page to inspect that format. The credit package page includes a planning calculator whose assumptions should match the orders you intend to place.
Ask six questions about a quote
- Which publisher or publication category is included, and when can I inspect it?
- Where will the link appear, and what is its intended target?
- How long is the placement covered?
- Are content creation, review or revisions included?
- What publication evidence and checks will I receive?
- What happens if the agreed placement is unavailable or an issue is found?
A low price with missing answers is an incomplete quote. A high price without useful evidence is also incomplete. Compare the documented scope rather than assuming that either price level proves quality.
Measure what your budget buys
Track credits spent, fulfilled placements, publication evidence and unresolved issues in separate fields. Then examine qualified referral visits and other business outcomes using your own analytics. A published placement is a delivery event, not a promise of a particular ranking or revenue.
Keep a record of the terms at purchase time. Review expiring placements before allocating another budget, and verify the next order rather than assuming a previous price or publisher remains available. See the credits and payments guide for the funding workflow.
