UGC backlinks: read the markup and the contribution

This is a manual planning aid, not a live audit, supplier catalog or ranking prediction. Examples are fictional. Nothing is fetched or submitted; downloaded files stay on your device.

How to use the matrix

In our fictional repair forum, a member answers a question and cites a reference. Four inert examples distinguish a normal user contribution, a combined ugc/nofollow policy, a paid user contribution and a separately selected editorial citation. The examples are displayed as text; they neither publish a comment nor contact a website.

Use the actual relationship to interpret the result. A paid contribution is not made independent by adding ugc; the payment relationship also needs appropriate qualification. Conversely, a useful user answer can help readers even when its link is qualified. Attribute combinations do not measure how much ranking value a link receives.

Review checklist

Record the source address, observation date, contribution context, destination and exact rendered attributes. Separate what you submitted from what the host published. If you maintain the forum, review suspicious contributions and apply moderation consistently; link attributes do not remove abusive or misleading content.
